Review on VIZIO 36-Inch 2.1 Sound Bar with Dual Built-in Subwoofers by Mike Hernandez

I bought it for two reasons, 1) to combine a medium-sized sound in one device. This way I don't have to run extra cables or have a wireless controlled subwoofer. 2) should work seamlessly with my Vizio TV which has smart cast and can be controlled with Alexa. The first was correct! Great sound for the price, perfect for a room this size and I wholeheartedly agree with all previous accolades. That's about the song. However, the second point is much more disappointing. It turns out that I'm Visio's soundbar is the only way to control a device via a TV if it has HDMI, making it compatible with HDMI control over port 1 on the TV. As it turns out, most small Visio soundbars don't have an HDMI port. That means spending over $200 and running wires everywhere. I will now send this device to my bedroom TV as soon as I get a system that can be controlled with Alexa. I believe this is a huge flaw in Visio's design as they would have sold many more units of this wonderful little system.
