Our 4 year old has a huge hood so we had to let him wear a big kid's helmet and he loved this one. He wore it around the house for two days. Adjusting the size was relatively easy - it would be even easier for a really big kid who can sit still for a few minutes. The color, as other reviewers have pointed out, varies from person to person. The green is more daytime, with a very yellow tint, and the red is actually orange. We would have preferred green and red to match the PJ Mask colors, but the bike we received was blue, so at least it matched it well enough. In terms of comfort, our child didn't mind the chin strap, which is a big plus. because he's pretty picky. In addition, it was very light and had many vents to keep heat accumulation to a minimum.
