Not strong enough Best in Car Covers

I bought two different Car Covers in one order, one was much cheaper than this item and better quality. I really liked the design of this half pouch in size XL. for a four-door sedan, but it's just not made well enough to be seriously considered as a car cover. Mirror pockets are nice because they hold the lid, the suction cups work but they seem to be hanging on broken threads on the lid itself. I snapped one of the 'strap' within a minute after fiddling with it - no kidding - it's the cheapest kind of satin ribbon, not even good enough to use as a hair tie. You can see daylight through the stitching on the case making it not waterproof and the straps which I simply ripped off after one came loose trying to tie it with little effort. The suction cups hold, however, and I took extra fabric for the cover and tucked it under the closed trunk and folded the fabric under the rear passenger doors to hold the cover securely enough. It is very difficult to put mirrors in the pockets, it takes a few more inches for a full size American sedan, but I fitted them. If you're good at sewing, you can replace the ribbons with a sturdy, wide elastic. , they are useless. It is best to use this as a template and sew your own cover. If this cover is not closed on the rear doors and trunk, it will fall off. I am not normally disappointed with purchases from Revain but this cap did not live up to the price paid. If they had invested just a little more in quality straps, it would have been worth the money for a very basic, thin case. Half covers are hard to find, and if they value quality, they could fill their niche.
