Review on 🔎 Enhanced SEO: Revealing the Mylar Curtain of Forbidden Broadway by Michelle Langley

Forbidden Broadway has vanished from New York venues for the first time in years, and I already miss its cheeky presence. But Gerard Allesandrini was right that poking fun at Broadway (Disney shows, jukeboxes, the latest Patti and Bernadette performances, etc.) had become too easy and predictable and a break was needed. In the meantime, we FB fans can get by with this very nice collection of a lot of the show's best lyrics. It's also filled with personal memories of the show's stars over the years. It's about the size of a coffee table, which makes it a bit unwieldy for such a simple subject (sorry folks, this isn't a collection of lyrics by Lorenz Hart or Johnny Mercer!), but that's a bit of a nitpick. As I flipped through the book, I recalled many wonderful evenings at the theater and laughed out loud as I remembered pretending to be Patty, Ethel, Mary, Mandy, Bernadette, Barbra and many others. Thank you Gerard and Michael for putting all of this on paper.
