brightening pool plaster

Just follow my instructions with white swimming pool plaster. I used 10 pounds of this product to remove stains from the white plaster in my 4,000 gallon pool. I do this annually in the spring when all the chemicals are removed from the water because it makes the water very acidic. I sprinkle the powder on the most polluted places (steps and shelves) and turn off the pump for a day while it works. Removes stains from wooden furniture on a shelf, blue stain from algaecide and dark stains on pool edges. It does not remove rust stains. I've been doing this for 10 years now but this is my first time using this product. I found this product lighter than others I have used which made it difficult to use in any wind and prevented it from sinking to the bottom. However, it worked as intended and within a few hours the spots were lighter. The next day I turned on the pump, let it run for a day, and then started adding bleach. I have found bleach crystals (I used two full bottles) to help remove any remaining stains as they settle to the bottom and take a while to dissolve. As soon as the chlorine level reaches an acceptable level, we start adding salt again. When the chlorinator registers a sufficient amount of salt, we turn on the chlorinator and gradually begin to increase it. All this happens at a water temperature of 60 degrees and above. I have notes to add 2 liters of Metal Free from Natural Chemistry after a few days, but I never do. Our pool never needs anything to raise the pH as it does it all by itself. My notes also said not to use electric shocks for two weeks.
