Review on Lee's Power Siphon Starter Bulb by Katie Bobzien

This is a very large (>7 inch) siphon trigger designed to fit 1/2 inch ID tubing. The siphon includes two 3/8 inch hose adapters. 3/8" ID hose adapters are easily disconnected from a 1/2" ID hose fitting due to the sheer weight of the drain hose (i.e. the shear strength is approximately zero). in the aquarium water runoff to the bottom. A threaded or screw-in adapter would solve this problem. Unfortunately two 3/8" hose adapters have to be glued on to attach the adapter to the siphon - throwing into question any flexibility in using two different (general) hose sizes or different Lee Gravel Vacs. due to poor adapter design
