Hello! My friend and I bought this for our pup due to some bad bites, barking and other annoying issues. He is a mix of puppies (husky, pyrenees and german shepherd) so he has thick skin/coat. The collar is perfect, the battery life is excellent, as is the bell. The sound option has various settings and will definitely attract the dog's attention when needed. The vibration option also has a few settings, it's also set high enough to get his attention. The shock function is interesting. I personally disagree with the need to set 99 levels, we tested the collar on ourselves to make sure we didn't damage him and didn't hit him too hard. We couldn't go past level 16, so I highly recommend being fair and having an idea of what you're going to do with your pet. You should also check it out yourself. We don't use anything above setting 5 for rank. The light is a bit dim but still bright enough for us to see him and he can see the ground. There is a great child safety feature and you will have a hard time actually shocking your dog without knowing how to use both the collar and remote control properly. All in all, I highly recommend this, but please be responsible. :)
