FYI This review is for the N400 120GB 42mm drive. This drive is SMALL and suitable for thin laptops. I actually bought it because it was the cheapest 42mm SSD I've ever seen and I have a really crappy laptop that I use it on. It was the type that came with one of those 32GB eMMC drives built in. When I first plugged it in, my computer didn't recognize it, it didn't show up in My Computer. This doesn't mean the drive is defective, it just means it hasn't been initialized and hasn't been assigned a drive letter. I booted into the BIOS and saw that it showed up there, so I went back to Windows and you need to right click on "MY PC". From there, click "MANAGE" and then go to "Storage" -> "Disk Management". The hard drive should be visible there. From there you can right click on the disk partition, create a new simple volume and give it a letter. As for me, I didn't because I made that drive my boot drive, so I used the Macrium Reflect Free version to clone the eMMC OEM drive. Then when I cloned it I went into the BIOS and set the boot order to the new drive. I then had to erase the original eMMC drive, which is difficult because it's a Windows boot drive, so I had to use DISKPART in an elevated command prompt. I won't go into detail but hopefully this will help people who are having trouble with these tasks. The image uploaded is a speed comparison between a standard eMMC, King Dian Drive and a high performance SM951 NVME drive just to show the differences. As you can see, King Dian is MUCH faster than a standard eMMC drive. So if you're wondering if such a drive will help your crappy laptop, the answer is YES. Note, however, that this is still a very slow drive compared to what you would expect from a high-end system. Bottom line: 5 stars because it was easy to install and set up if you know what you're doing, and made a huge difference in performance for only $30.
