The number one thing I look for in a PSU is how it works with the pedal. This gives you 2 options to turn on/off. 1) You can set it up so that you have to keep your foot on the pedal the whole time you get the tattoo. (fu) 2) You can set it up so that you just step on the pedal and it starts or stops. It's MUCH easier to do it this way. The pedal that comes with the kit is the type you usually have on your desk as they are small and easy to hit. If you need a larger pedal, use a standard 1/4" plug. The reason there is no star is the actual power cord that is used to connect it to the wall. This is no ordinary "8" -shaped socket. This is an old school 12 volt keg that is becoming rare. So you need to make sure you don't lose this wall adaptor/cable or you won't be able to use this without a suitable replacement for size and to find tension.
