Review on The Dairy Shoppe 2-Quart Heavy Glass Milk Bottles – 64 Oz Jugs with Additional Lids & FREE Pour Spout! (Set of 2) by Jeremy Floyd

One of the best moves I've done this year!

I use these retro style glass bottles to store and carry water around the house or office and back. Milk was delivered in the same bottles decades ago! It might be difficult for little folks to lift them with one hand, but with two hands they'll surely find it easier than lifting the half-gallon or full-gallon paper or plastic versions. Small children may need the help of taller people to open the lids until they learn how to remove them. The main reason I like these bottles is that glass is safer than perishable plastic items that create more chaos when recycled. Glass bottle caps really don't leak, even when lying on their side and being transported back and forth to work. I like how they snap into place and are easy to remove; cool design. The set of 4 also comes with a Neeto snap spout. I always use a mug and never drink straight from a bottle and so far I have only used these bottles for water. I've raised the bottle to my lips a few times as the thick glass rim of these bottles draws attention, but I like to drink fresh, clean water and want them to be free of potential sources of bacteria. If I stored freshly squeezed juices, the bottles would be easy enough to clean. They have an opening large enough to facilitate using a bottle brush. I just use a drop of dish soap and warm water, shake, rinse and repeat with other bottles. Sure, thick glass bottles are heavier than plastic bottles, but that means they're not as easily knocked over and won't shatter unless you really hit them or drop them on concrete. I've knocked them quite a few times and still no broken bottles. I love the square design which means the bottles won't roll around in the car, in the fridge or on the table when standing or stored on their side. With cold water, they basically replace the ice pack in my lunch box and keep other lunch items cool and fresh for an hour or two. It probably won't work when the hot summer months come. Definitely keeps things cold enough for the commute. Overall very happy with these elegant glass bottles. I'm glad I bought it. Good value for money!
