I used it to renew my COVID-19 mask. The mask should be tied at the back, top and bottom with a round nylon cord in the shape of a shoelace. I cut it to length, smeared a dab of Marine Goop glue on the inside, and inserted the nylon cord with a toothpick. Leave it overnight and it's perfect. The shank is perfectly finished, which is a bit of an issue when trying to connect the pieces behind your back. I used the cone sander on my Dremel tool to sand the inside of the female end shaft. A small cone allows the parts to slide perfectly on top of each other. Attention - the metal heats up during grinding. I have the coolest mask in town and it's easy and fun to put on and take off thanks to the power and magic of MAGNETS! Unfortunately there is no instruction manual, so I don't know how magnets work. ;)
