My 2003 Chevy Silverado fan would only turn on when set to 4 or 5. There are many videos on YouTube showing how to replace this resistor assembly. The hardest part was deciding which part to order. Part 22807122 states it will fit manual vehicles with two resistance block mounting bolts. My resistance was held by two screws. Michael B.'s review was very helpful. I removed my old resistor assembly and it looked just like his two PICTURES. So I ordered part 22807123 and it fit perfectly. Note that the new part does not split into the two parts shown in Michael B's photos. Also, I did not have to replace the wire harness that came with the new part as the old connector was in good condition. In general, the exchange lasted about an hour. The hardest part was removing and installing the cover. Try replacing the part without loosening the two screws to the left of the cover so it is not as difficult to reattach the cover. Now all five speeds work.
