Handy tool for not skipping text

The smartwatch works great for getting notifications about text messages and other items when I need to mute and can't feel my phone vibrating. There are many addons but I am deleting the number now because the battery life has been drastically reduced. There are email add-ons, including Gmail and K9mail. I used both the free Gmail program and a paid program that also sends text messages. I get too many regular emails to be notified by my smartphone, so I haven't tried the others. The Facebook add-on worked well and could be configured to only notify me of messages for me or messages from specific people. The Twitter add-on didn't work either. While this made it possible to only receive tweets from specific people, tweets from many others popped up on the phone. Facebook and Twitter were the first two to be removed as I watch to see if battery life improves. There is also one that displays RSS feeds. You can add your own feeds, but it's easier to use Google Reader feeds. Selecting just a few of my feeds worked. Other additions include phone battery percentage and weather. Another add-on can be used to control the music player on the phone, regulate the volume, pause and restart. I tried this with different phone apps. The volume worked in every case, but the pause only worked on some programs. I didn't like the rubber strap it came with, but I found a black leather strap on an old broken watch that worked. The watch also lacks a second hand, which I sometimes need. As a workaround, I added an inexpensive stopwatch app. Battery life has been a major concern so far, leading me to uninstall most programs hoping that with a reasonable test I can use them for the features I care about most. Time.
