Not worth buying for smart watches

The first watch arrived, defective. None of the applications were accepted. I got a replacement and only 3 things are actually compatible with my Samsung Note 8. Messages, watch faces (about 5 in total) and heart rate. So only one thing I really need worked. Messages. I returned it and just went to Verizon and paid 15.00 each month on top of my bill for a great Galaxy Gear 3. It wasn't worth the hassle or the money. Oh, and forget about support. Here is nothing.

Ok smartwatch, wait for the second version

This is a good smartwatch, although it needs many improvements. The UI is pretty boring and slow to render. The touch screen sometimes does not respond. This is Sony's first attempt at a smartwatch, just ahead of the Ericsson LiveView. However, if you are considering buying this watch, I STRONGLY recommend that you wait for the Sony Smartwatch 2 release in September 2013. Photos of the Smartwatch 2 have been released and I have to say they look a lot better than this one.

Pros
  • One year trial period

  • The cable is shorter than other models

Buyer Warning! Smartwatch

The watch can be purchased, but apps do not work with newer operating systems. I bought this watch a little over a year ago to use with my old Motorola Droid Razr phone. Worked great. Easy to connect and set up with your phone. I love it. My old phone no longer holds a charge. So I bought a new cell phone. This watch does not work with the new phone. I can download and install the app but I can't find it on my phone. I tried to download the new SmartWatch 2 SW2 app. The same thing. The app will

Great product, works perfectly!

Reading various reviews of Sony smartwatches, I was concerned about the amount of bad reviews. The updates seemed to fix a number of issues, so with the price dropping, I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. Dude, I'm glad I did! My biggest concern was that half the apps wouldn't work, but everything I've tried works great! Menu navigation is surprisingly easy for such a small touchscreen, and pinching to close works great for me (not sure why others have so much trouble with this…

I am very disappointed in the product.

Sony released the Smart Watch 2 in September 2013. I just hope Sony is smart enough to listen to their customers. Sometimes the connection to the clock is lost. It doesn't even recognize the charger. Sometimes he just won't wake up no matter what you do. Then suddenly, a few hours later, he returned. I bought my first and encountered these problems. I'm not complaining so I bought a second one and I have the same experience. For reference, I'm running the first on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and the

My first wearable smart device.

My Sony Smartwatch is connected to my Nexus 4 with 4.4 Kitkat, so don't worry if you're wondering if newer devices are supported and the connection is good! I have to leave the house before the connection is lost. I installed some apps on my watch, they control my music player and run some 1x1 widgets to check bitcoin and litecoin prices. It also slightly improved battery life because I don't have to take my phone out frequently to change tracks or check email, Facebook, or widgets. That's…

Handy tool for not skipping text

The smartwatch works great for getting notifications about text messages and other items when I need to mute and can't feel my phone vibrating. There are many addons but I am deleting the number now because the battery life has been drastically reduced. There are email add-ons, including Gmail and K9mail. I used both the free Gmail program and a paid program that also sends text messages. I get too many regular emails to be notified by my smartphone, so I haven't tried the others. The Facebook…

I was a little worried about other reviews that said: - You couldn't see the time when the watch wasn't connected to a smartphone. Well, I turn off the bluetooth on the phone (Samsung Note 2) and the watch still works - The display of smartwatches was not visible in the sun. This applies when sunlight is aimed directly at your watch. But I could still see the time and without direct sunlight on the display and outside I could still read my notifications. - You couldn't go far from the phone…
