Only lasted 10 months
The scale worked great when I bought it. Unlike others, I liked the audible signal that tells me the weight is ready to read. However, after only 10 months of use, it suddenly died without warning. It caught fire but registered no weight. I changed the batteries, pressed the reset - the weight is still unreadable. Homedics has many manuals on their website but none for the SC-410. I know it's still under warranty, but I don't have the receipt anymore. In addition, packaging and shipping cost almost as much as a new scale. It's time to buy other scales.
