I have tried various methods of making a homemade cold drink at home using a french press in the fridge overnight, soaking the grounds in water and filtering. None of them worked until I received my toddy last Friday, quickly unboxed, cleaned, sanitized and brewed the batch at the recommended dosage on the packaging. The end product after almost 20 hours of brewing was an extremely full-bodied, smooth and full-bodied coffee concentrate without acid. anything. What I liked about this product is the filtration system, it uses a felt filter that can be used many times and will not release any coffee aroma or flavor yet still filters each batch with no coffee residue or sediment. (something that has happened with other methods) and it didn't clog until you stirred the ground coffee, you just stir and steep it. The top is plastic and no cap is supplied for the top, so it's a good idea to either buy a spare or cover it with plastic wrap to avoid contamination. Note, however, that the white lid that contains the water and ground coffee only rests on the top of the glass jar and can be easily knocked over. Put it on the glass if you want to filter it. Only a cap was included to stop the flow. If you lose it, you need to order another one. The rest of the system is great, works perfectly and produces about a liter of concentrate, which if you dilute it 3/1 you get about 4 liters of cold drink with 340g of coffee, which is not bad. Highly Recommended.
