Smaller footprint than expected for 300w. Looks solidly built. The matte black finish means it blends seamlessly into the back of most tanks. Overall, it's exactly what you'd expect from Inkbird - solid and straight forward. I would give it 5 stars but there is one point in the design that I would change. There is a button to set the temperature. it raises the temperature. To get to a lower number, you have to go to the highest value and then go back to the beginning. The manual doesn't explain this. It's a small thing, but I would have a temperature up button and a temperature down button. I tested it with a third-party digital thermometer to verify accuracy and it's within two degrees. I would suggest setting the temperature two degrees lower than desired. If you set it to 78, it can become 80. If you want it to be more accurate, consider investing in an Inkbird controller instead. Otherwise 2 degrees are in the reasonable range.
