First of all - these are fantastic shoes. Bloch quality is hard to beat. Our studio manager recommended this brand and I can see why. That being said, the sizing info is so scattered and confusing - I wish dance shoes weren't so cryptic with their sizing. My daughter wears children's outdoor shoes in size 11.5 or 12 and has very narrow feet. If I had gone by the "official" size chart I don't know what we would have done but it definitely wouldn't fit! I ordered 11.5 and they fit her like a glove. They are snug (as they should be) and she was immediately struck by how comfortable and "like a sock" they are. The elastics are snug - they will likely stretch a little when worn, but if your child has a wider foot you can order half a size up or be prepared to change the elastic.
