I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this leash, especially given the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like it will break if my 50 lb dog pulls too hard. My dog doesn't like to pull very much, but the nylon lines burn my hands with the slightest tug from the dog. With this leash, like most leather leashes, when my dog pulls on me, it doesn't burn my hand. The fact that this leash is 1" wide makes me feel like it will hold up for years of use. The leather leashes I've seen at pet stores were thinner and felt flimsy. The leather leashes I found online were usually double the price of these. I'm glad I gave this leash a chance. I see that this will continue for many years to come.
