I wanted 2 packs so I can take one to the office and one at home to measure hydroponic garden nutrients. These are simple, high quality backlit gauges. They are pre-calibrated and fairly accurate. For hydroponics, "fairly accurate" is enough - I don't need accuracy to measure the nutrient levels of the plants. For those looking for ultra-precise measurements for things like drinking water, it probably makes sense to invest in a more expensive model. I would not have expected that from a TDS meter in this price range. A note: each gauge comes with a leather case. Since the gauge is encased in hard plastic, I don't think the leather case serves any real purpose. I understand this probably only adds a penny or two to the cost, but it's a waste of resources and a burden on the environment. You have to get rid of him.
