Me people who complain about being too small just don't understand what the compression should feel like. I measured the middle of my right thigh and it was 19 3/4". According to her height, L goes to 19 3/4" and XL starts at 19 3/4". I went for L to be sure that I get enough compression Even though my foot is on the top end for size L it fits perfectly I get good and tight compression from it The length is good Covers my entire thigh from crotch to knee Could be a little longer but the material is stretchy so I can make it a little shorter to fit my foot. The fabric is tight and rough, much rougher and thicker than my CWX shin pads. This makes them nice and warm in cold weather, but too warm for hot weather Die Quality is very good and seems like they will last a while They have silicone straps on the ends to prevent slipping I found the silicone a little sticky and uncomfortable at first and the coarse weaving caused a little itching but after one few hours But I've gotten used to this feeling It's the second day I've been wearing them and now I've gotten used to this feeling. I can wear them all day with no problems. I can fully recommend them for low to medium temperatures. I only deducted one star because I prefer the thinner, tighter CWX sleeves. I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. When you first take it out of the packaging, there is a chemical smell that goes away after about 1/2 hour.
