It really worked but you have to spray frequently (every few hours). Our cat scratched the front carpet so badly that it tore it. I tried it out of desperation and initially only sprayed once or twice a day and saw no results. I ended up getting so frustrated that I started spraying it every few hours and whoops! she stopped scratching! I kept it on for about a week and then stopped. It's been about 6 months and she still hasn't started itching there again! (I have a flat scratching post elsewhere which makes her happy now. I've had it before but she ignored it and used a mat instead).
