Terrible smell the first 2-3 days after unpacking!
now i really like the wool ironing mat but when it first showed up it had a very strong horrible smell that eventually dissipated. Once that was gone, the carpet turned out great. I used to use a small open IKEA desk ironing board and it worked forever. This rug over an ironing board is a great combination. I haven't used the cutting mat yet.
