These quick connect fittings have two features that differentiate them from the competition:1. They do not have an external o-ring on either piece of the two-piece fitting pair.2. The inside diameter of the fitting is larger, which provides higher volume / flow.Quick connectors that have an external o-ring concern me because if the o-ring is on the piece that goes into the faucet, then it is subject to weathering, or if on the piece that goes on the hose end or attachment, then it is subject to damage in handling - either way, that can lead to leaks.These quick connectors use a novel special hose washer to provide a leak-free connection - they are molded such that there is a base that extends beyond the outer edge that the end of the male piece fits against to provide the seal. The advantage to this is they are protected. The one concern is the availability of replacements when they get worn or lost, though the set does come with four extra.The inside diameter of the connector is a half inch or maybe even slightly more, which is a significant advantage over most of the other quick connects that are smaller and therefore are more restrictive to the waterflow volume. Of course, at 1/2", the connector still provides a restriction for a 5/8" or 3/4" hose.There are some other pros:The knurling is cleanly cut.They connect and disconnect easily.Comes with four extra of the special hose washers.As well as some cons:Generally speaking, the materials seem okay, though there is some marring on the surfaces of the fittings.They are not lead free.They are not compatible with most other quick connect fittings.Update:After a year of use, these are still by far my favorite compared to other quick connect fittings that have a smaller inside diameter and therefore result in lower flow volume.Review of STYDDI Brass Garden Hose Quick Connect Fitting, 3 Set 3/4” GHT Solid Brass Water Hose Quick Connector with Male and Female, Full Flow, with 4 Washers
