Review on Dorman H27298 Hydraulic Brake Hose by Mark Tarnowski

Workshop said it would not fit but they didn't know what I meant. Built me a 1979 Super Beetle rear brake. I used wheel brake cylinders for the front rear drum brakes. They have a larger bore and produce more powerful brakes. That was because I had rebuilt a front disc brake. This hose is perfect for removing a short hard line and transitioning from a master cylinder to a rigid hose mount. The plug mates with the threads of the cylinder. The female is designed for installation in the 3/16 line. If you are doing a disc brake conversion, replace the old lines and use this hose at the rear.
