not dark green as on my monitor but still a nice dark gray olive green It didn't arrive crumpled which is a big plus - removing the creases from the velvet folds would have taken more than just a walk in the park. It also looks great and doesn't accentuate the tummy like many pleated skirts. My only complaint is the waist measurement, which is advertised as 29.5 inches but is actually 25.5 inches (25 and 3/4 inches to be exact). ). Yes, the waist has elastic, but it's so strong that it cinches the waist a lot, creating that awful muffin top both above and below the band - which isn't flattering on my 28 inch waist and is a bit uncomfortable. So I would recommend this for those with a 25-26" waist if you don't mind the cupcake effect. I thought of adding an extra elastic to lengthen the waistband, but you can't do that unless you remove all the stitching , sew the extension to the waistband and then sew the skirt back to the waistband.This is a difficult task for those who lead busy lives.Wish it was in other sizes!Unfortunately I will be returning it and to my quest return in a green velvet pleated skirt shipped from the US, which seems like a daunting task.
