As a retired mechanical engineer, I care about the quality and value of mechanical products. This product is great value and appears to be of excellent quality. If my rating changes after use, I will update this review. The manufacturer changed the quick release plate configuration immediately after I received this unit to accommodate quick release plates from 1/4" to 3/8". Mine came with 1/4" quick release plates. I would welcome a 3/8" option given this unit's 66lb load capacity. I have paired this head with their RT90C carbon fiber tripod which is also excellent value for money and is incredibly strong with a lifting capacity of 88 pounds.I have no hesitation in recommending both products.Again, I'll update this review if I change my mind.
