Review on 🎧 HUAWEI Freebuds 4i: Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancelling & 10H Battery Life in Black by Agata Roguska ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well done, but I won't buy any more.

Conclusion: I am a picky user who has had both free buds 3 and free buds 3i. Comparing all these three models (3 / 3i / 4i) I can say the following: Fitting density in the ears: * tighter fit than free buds 3 (I had to adjust them when running) and quite a bit worse than free buds 3i (both 3i and 4i fit perfectly when running), but in some situations they "leave" a little bit from the ear (for example, with the active use of facial expressions). Comfort fit in the ears: * sit more comfortably than free buds 3i (mainly due to the reduced size), but somewhat less comfortable than free buds 3 (they did not feel at all, but unlike 3i and 4i they were not vacuumed). Functionality: * technically almost identical to free buds 3i (they support auto-pause, adequate noise reduction and similar important little things), i. E. more advanced than free buds 3. Case experience: * the smallest of all models (easily fits in your pocket and does not interfere); * getting headphones out of this case is much less convenient than from previous models: in free buds 3i I didn’t like the case, but it was still more convenient, but in free buds 3, it seems to me that there was definitely a better case (if in size and used for subsequent models, it would be definitely ideal). Final opinion: This model seems to be the most compromise solution in the free buds line. I like it more than all other models, mainly due to its ergonomics, style and compactness. However, I still have some gripes, mostly related to the case.

Pros
  • * comfortable; * compact; * lungs; * good sound quality; * no problems with sound synchronization in headphones / auto-pause (when headphones are removed) and other functions.
Cons
  • They tried to make a case for the headphones as a compromise between free buds 3 and 3i, the following came out: * it has become smaller and more compact, which, of course, I would attribute to other pluses, if not for a number of problems that have arisen (not so much because it is small, but so much because they apparently wanted to save some money on it, or due to inexperience in the production of cases of such form factors): * it has become somehow too flimsy: the back cover staggers a little and creaks (it annoys me personally), and also closes from any accidental touch; * due to a combination of two factors: the smooth surface at the top of the earphones and the position in which the earphones are placed in the case - they are extremely inconvenient to reach (I think that free buds 3 had the highest UX in terms of the convenience of the case and the position of the earbuds in it ).

Some pros: The sound quality is good for the price. Got cons: The lid dangles a little, the transparent mode is weak and the noise reduction is also
