True Converter - Runs on macOS with IBM Model M Keyboard

PS/2 USB keyboard/mouse splitters are definitely NOT all the same. Most of them are just adapters, not real converters. And of course, the vast majority of them are only generic brands, making them difficult to research and have little to no driver support. It gets even harder when you want to use this on macOS. After a bit of research, I came to the conclusion that this particular device would actually work on a Mac. As there are multiple brands I mostly had to go with the picture and the long (2β€³) thick part at the USB end indicated it was a real converter which I needed to convert my IBM Model M to to get running. my macbook. Sometimes it crashes and I have to press the ALT key (mapped to the Mac command key) multiple times, but that's pretty rare. Command, CTRL for option, and CAPS LOCK for control (very rarely used by anything on a Mac), and PAUSE and SCROLL LOCK to decrease and increase brightness. It was a lot cheaper than buying a modern Unicomp M-style Mac compatible keyboard ($120+) and I would definitely recommend this adapter to all other generic brand adapters. For PC/Windows users you can definitely get by with a cheaper adapter but for the price I would buy a real converter knowing you have something that will be useful on different computers. I had a couple of adapters from other brands and a Logitech USB PS2 adapter and none worked on macOS. Even if you're not interested in a Mac, I've had many USB to PS2 adapters over the years and sometimes they don't even work on certain PC brands/models! so it's just smart to have a REAL converter like to get this one.
