I originally bought these to replace the Vulcan 121 as I was fed up with the basic gaming keyboards because I wanted something that I could modify for a good price. "I had a $73.00 deal with a backlight" and I didn't care for RGB as I was going to turn it off anyway since I don't have a backlight on my keyset. The original caps for this board are thick I would say, but the tops of the caps are so clumsy and their overall texture actually feels like sandpaper. Even though this board is hot swappable I figured you couldn't give this board a bad review because people are already going to change it. The stock red Gateron switches are surprisingly light and not very scratchy, although I replaced them with TECSEE carrot switches, which are much better. But since it has 5 pins, you can put "almost" any key switch on it. Although I've had some issues with switches with cases that don't have a cutout for the LED when it pops up above the board. As a result, I couldn't install some of the Zealios switches I have. I basically had to alter them to fit the board. That weird design flaw aside, "which I think is fixed in the RGB version," this keyboard is an excellent deal when bought at a discount or with a backlight. Key quality 2.4 GHz is almost imperceptible compared to the cable. No crashes, lags or lags of any distance in my room. 10/10 Great hot swap board for a beginner if you aren't
