High failure rate.: Lighting and ceiling fans

I installed four sets. I am returning two sets. One works but is so dark that the headlights are not visible. There will be no other. I can press the power button on the remote and the light comes on; However, when I release the button, the light goes off. All four worked the first night. I put them outside early in the morning before installing them to charge. Everything worked. The next night two sets malfunctioned. We had some rain; however, they must be protected from the weather.
