Review on RC-201 Replaced Remote for Polaroid TV Models TLA04641 TDX-03211C 845C45GF1XAPH FLX374 and More by Victor Olsen

We have the Polaroid TLA-04641C released October 2007. The original remote shown alongside this replacement is model number RC-201. Our original remote stopped working for anything other than volume control. We went to the Polaroid website and sent an inquiry based on our model year, but after a month we still hadn't gotten a response so we contacted Revain and found this replacement remote on the list. It cost $11.89 (as of May 2019) and arrived at our home within two days of my order. It doesn't come with a manual or batteries but the listing says so which is why we weren't expecting it. After putting the batteries in, we tested the remote and found it to work great with all the functions we used. It changes inputs, changes aspect ratio, it has all the useful features of our original remote. The different button layout takes some getting used to as it doesn't look anything like the original remote, but other than that I have no complaints. I can't comment on the other features of this remote such as the picture-in-picture (PIP) button and buttons to control other devices such as Cab/Sat, DVD and Aux. There are even buttons for DVD playback and I didn't use any of these on my old remote and don't need them on this remote. For those of you who need these keys; Keep in mind that this does not include a manual and you will need to find a programming guide somewhere. When I bought this TV, it received a high rating in Consumer Reports. After over a decade of use this TV still works great and although we now have a 70" 4K UHD and another 65" 1080p TV, my husband and I still think that our polaroid has the best picture in the house. Maybe it's because Polaroid is a plasma model and the new TVs we have are LCD and other LED models? I don't know but it's still a great set and I'm glad I found this replacement remote so we can enjoy this TV for many years to come.
