I am currently using two of these on my computer. One has Windows installed and the other has my program files (games) and the second side file installed. Ideally you have 3 of these things and separate one separately for the paging file. Use the remaining space for things like pictures etc. that you don't need at the same time as games or "photo editing". My current setup is after POST (Power On Self Test) when memory is counted etc. once BIOS is disabled. and Windows starts to load, it takes about 4 seconds before it prompts me to login. You won't even say a word when it comes to noise. The only thing I hear at all are the fans in my system. Do you store more things? Well, you can easily get a hard drive docking station and connect it via eSATA or USB 3.0 and add or remove drives to your system in a snap and they're as quick as if they had been installed. The best part is that if your archived data is stored on offline drives and you ever get hacked or infected with a virus, that data cannot be destroyed. I don't even try to run virus scanners on my computers. If there's a problem I just do a data rollback with Windows Backup, if it's enabled, it automatically backs up your system every time something changes.
