My daughter is in 1st grade and chose this backpack. I was a little pessimistic because I read some reviews and it seems like their pompoms have been falling off for about two weeks and I don't see any pompoms falling off but they lose a lot, I don't mean that much but sometimes I have their backpack on the couch and there are a few pompoms left over. it looks like it's going to be pretty durable, I mean she carries about four notebooks in it, a few folders and pencils, it's pretty heavy and it's held up, she tosses it around, lugs it around and it looks like it as if it were robust and stable, so there is nothing to complain about here the backpack looks better in person by the way black is shiny on it and the fold does not stick at all looks very good does not look cheap
