When I ordered I actually thought they were aluminum and was surprised when they weren't. But after installing and using them, I LOVE them. The rubber is very durable (feels very high quality) and offers maximum grip. Comfortable with gloves or bearskin. They look very clean and high quality. I replaced my OME Harley knobs (which were thick/thick). They've gotten "thinner" and now I feel like I have a lot more control. They are perfect for my Nightster. I found a YouTube video with quick tips for easy installation.
