We had a ten year old Craftmade UC 7077T switch installed by a contractor that failed. I couldn't find a similar switch, and our electronics store suggested we throw out the receiver and our handheld remote and replace everything. I wanted an option for less than $400, so I looked for another switch that claimed Craftmade compatibility. This switch is supposed to be compatible with Craftmade, so I put a leaflet on it. There are a few things to note about the switch: * It doesn't require a battery, it is mains powered. It's a much better design in my opinion, but the result* is that the switch body is just over 1/4 inch lower than the craftmade switch. My setup had a lot of extra wires in the junction box. I had to pull the switch. , make the junction box wires shorter and be sure to slide the wires back into the junction box to fit. The beauty of the Craftmade switch is that it has a tiny circuit printed on the back so you can figure out the wiring. without downloading any online manual. The new switch has plastic labels on each black wire that show which wire goes with which wire in the junction box. Be sure to keep this in mind, it's important. There is no standard color code for the wire that goes to the fan/switch (mine was grey, yours may be different.) There is only one light button on the switch, but there is only one light in our setup. The DIP switch codes are the same. The Fanimation switch controls all fan functions. fan/light. Overall I am very happy with the result.
