I didn't want to look at this right away because it took me a while to get the bird bath, install it and then set the water system on. So far this pump has done a great job of adding running water to my bird bath. I put it in the middle of three oak trees in the backyard where there is plenty of shade. I have 8 or 9 bird feeders and a few birdhouses and I love watching the birds go from the feeder to the bathroom and back. I could build a static water fountain, but having a fountain in the tub adds a lot. So the water does not stagnate, moreover, the birds like to get wet. And the bird bath looks a thousand times better with a little fountain. And the water splashes make a pleasant sound when I sit next to it and read.
