Review on 🔍 Fujifilm XF35mmF1.4 R: A High-Quality Lens for Exceptional Photography. by Roberto Evans

I bought this lens with my Fujifilm XT-2 and I love it! Other reviews mention the excellent build quality (which it is) so I'll just focus on the image quality. This lens produces excellent images. The F1.4 lens creates beautiful bokeh and delivers extremely sharp images even at full aperture. This pairs perfectly with the XT-2's blazing-fast 1/32,000 electronic shutter speed, as the lens lets in so much light at F1.4. I'm used to stopping my lenses in broad daylight, but the XT-2 allows me to shoot full aperture at midday if I want to. Autofocus is a bit slow as other reviews have mentioned, but certainly fast enough for my needs. I've been arguing between this lens and F2.0, and I'm glad I chose F1.4 for everything related to a larger aperture (better low-light quality, better bokeh, etc.). It is a great companion for 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 R LM OIS lens. Based on some reviews I thought it would be noisy, inaccurate and just plain crappy but that wasn't my experience. I can hear it, but it snaps into place fairly quickly and I hardly notice the little sound it makes (just a slight click when it snaps into place). Maybe if I'm filming a wedding in a church and I need absolute silence that could be a factor, but for me it's not. Guys, that's a great lens! Stop giving products 1 star because they are not 100% perfect (which product?). It almost put me off this lens and I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it. AF hunting - AF is a bit on the hunt (especially in low light) but still quite acceptable for everyday shots. Damn I can get it to fix the stars in the night sky! I don't have an F2 lens so I can't compare it directly, but I really can't complain that it hunts too much. That being said, I don't take a lot of moving photos, so this could be a problem for the sport and I just can't put my finger on it either way. Conclusion: Anyone who has doubts about choosing this lens for everyday photography will not be disappointed. On the contrary, you will be amazed at Fujinon's meticulous attention to detail in all of its products. This lens deserves every star I gave it.
