I bought a Fujifilm x-e1 with an f18-55 kit lens. I read in some review that only with the f35 lens will this camera be able to show itself "in all its glory." And there is. Fiction! In the evening I walk around the city and take pictures of festive illuminations and shop windows along the way. Great quality and fun to shoot. With its pros. workmanship, fast, small, fast autofocus, convenient aperture setting wheel Cons: A bit pricey, although it's probably what it should be. For the first…

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

A lens for long and productive times, to create, develop, be surprised and always enjoy the quality of the pictures taken. With its pros. Lightweight, reliable, high-quality assembly, versatility. An excellent lens for the implementation of almost all creative ideas. A beautiful and clear picture when shooting a portrait, landscapes at any time of the day, pleasant and soft bokeh, pleasing to the eye. Several weddings, where there is always a mixture of genres, have also been shot with this…

I bought this lens for the X-T1 as a staff member, I am very pleased, it draws very beautifully, light. If I had to take only one lens, I would choose only it, because of its universal focal length and aperture that allows you to shoot both indoors and outdoors. I recommend Has pros: Working aperture at f1/4 Good Japanese assembly (no backlash, etc.) Sharpness from open beautiful bokeh Light Different cons: Not the fastest autofocus in the system on this lens When the lens hood is on, it…

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

I bought it as a staffer when buying an ixpro, then I bought both 18 and 60, in fact, all three of them complement each other, although in the end I refused 60, I'm waiting for 56 1.4 The lens is more than satisfied, I shot everything on it - from reportage and genre to landscape and subject matter, after the September firmware, the speed has noticeably increased. Some pros: Lightweight, universal focal length, metal hood included, picture without zest, but just nice and beautiful, as required

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

For a long time I chose between two fuji 35 mm, I think like many before buying. Yes, the "younger" brother has a number of advantages (a little faster and much quieter AF, WR, adapted to video), but the picture, namely the depth of field from the f / 1.4 hole, decides everything. Gorgeous glass, definitely worth it. Some pros: + Of course aperture. Such a depth of field creates a fabulous volume. + Sharp on the open almost the entire frame. At f / 2.8 - a razor. + Pretty aggressive open…

Although I've always had an excellent fifty dollar full frame, I haven't used it much. When I switched to a smaller set, this was one of my most used lenses. Naturally when I got the Fuji I bought this lens and couldn't be happier. I have to think of a specific shot that requires a different focal length to shoot with this lens. It just gives the photos a certain look, or as some people say, magic. Now I want 56 1.2 with it!

I wanted to fall in love, but

I wanted to love this lens so bad. However, after months of trying to tweak various settings, I can't seem to get the autofocus to stop poking around. Shooting in manual mode is fantastic and the Fuji colors are second to none as always. The lens produces a very nice bokeh (blurred background) and is incredibly bright. But a fast lens doesn't do much if I can't hit the focus points. The eye/face detection is not instantaneous on this lens, which is unusual as it is primarily a function of the…

Magic Lens! - Lenses for mirrorless cameras

This magical lens delivers crazy sharpness at f/1.4 wide-angle aperture. It has the same definite character and transmission of images that are difficult to explain or describe. When I first saw the images he produced, it was an OMG moment. As for the frequent comment "slow focus", I don't think that applies to my specimen, which has both the lens and camera on the latest firmware updates. It's as fast as my other four Fuji lenses and almost as fast as my Canon 85mm F1.8, which is considered…

Focusing is no longer a problem!

After much research on this lens (and the XT-1 Graphite Edition) I finally decided to pull the trigger. Being primarily a wedding and family portrait photographer, my main concern after reading and seeing many reviews was that focus was going to be an issue. And when I received the camera and lens, I noticed what others have mentioned. It was definitely not the speed I was used to from my Nikon D800. So why the 5 star rating? Well, everything changed after I updated the camera body firmware…

OK that's right: Camera & Photo

I've been fighting the urge to buy this lens for a few years. I didn't need it as I already have a very good 35mm f/2 "Fujicron" but I still see this lens being praised on numerous sites and also on YouTube in 2020 with amazing images. I went on to say that my f/2 version was just great, and it probably is if you only use measurements that can be read off charts and graphs. You can't quantify "looks" or "magic," but these attributes keep coming up for this lens on websites that discuss Fujifilm

Good everyday lens and great for shooting in low light

I've been shooting with the 35mm 1.4 for a few months now and I have to say it felt a bit like 'coming home' when I started with this lens. Being a crop sensor lens, the feel of the 50mm equivalent was good. I've had a Fujifilm X100F for a long time, and while the fixed 23mm lens (35mm lens equivalent) was very good for travel and outdoors, I felt a little alienated. The 35mm 1.4 with its 50mm equivalent allows me to get a little closer to my subject and it takes great pictures. Its f/1.4…

    Outstanding image quality

I bought this lens with my Fujifilm XT-2 and I love it! Other reviews mention the excellent build quality (which it is) so I'll just focus on the image quality. This lens produces excellent images. The F1.4 lens creates beautiful bokeh and delivers extremely sharp images even at full aperture. This pairs perfectly with the XT-2's blazing-fast 1/32,000 electronic shutter speed, as the lens lets in so much light at F1.4. I'm used to stopping my lenses in broad daylight, but the XT-2 allows me to…

Quality of the product is at the level, I will recommend this product

The lack of AF performance seriously affects the feel of the lens and almost balances the scale with its pluses. But if you are not a reporter, you do not need to shoot running children, animals and athletes, and also you have it far from the only one in the system, then I definitely recommend it. For leisurely portrait shooting one of the best. Weight, compactness, build quality and pictures. First of all, it is probably art glass. If there is such a term. Good luck. I recommend to buy. I…

    Pros
    • My acquaintance with the system began with this lens. All recommended junior 35 2.0. But I didn't give in. I don't regret one bit. Great picture. Portraits, subject and street - he can do everything. He was a staff member on the xt-10 - an aesthetic pleasure both with and without a hood. Build quality is top notch after two years like new condition.
    Cons
    • Nightmare AF (in conjunction with xt-10). When changing firmware including. Not quite suitable as a staffer - not enough angle.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

In my opinion, the most significant plus of the lens is that, in conjunction with the camera, it conveys the authenticity of cameras from 30 years ago, and this is exactly what people are waiting for when buying cameras of the X line. Clicks when changing the aperture, the size and the metal case that pleasantly cools the hand - these are the main advantages. XE1, XE2, XT1 with this lens look balanced and beautiful, a must for a person who wants to not only shoot, but also enjoy the tactile…

    Pros
    • The most correct focal length is one lens that can rule them all. Clear, sharp picture with correct color reproduction.
    Cons
    • Low speed on old cameras, with old firmware, but I don’t know how serious this minus is. It is enough to ate the firmware of the lens and camera and the minus will disappear.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I really liked the lens, the new one before the crisis cost 13 thousand, I never take it off the carcass. The disadvantage in the form of electronic control can be added to the pros, dropped it several times on the asphalt, strong dents appeared, but the autofocus speed or other parameters were not affected in any way. It seems to me that if everything was connected as before, it would be possible to go for a new one.

    Pros
    • Compact, looks very nice on the body, sharp picture, soft bokeh, comfortable lens hood, very convenient focal length, METAL.
    Cons
    • Focus ring, aperture are connected electronically. It is not possible to use the lens on other systems.
