Daybetter bought 32.8 LED strips (ie two 16.4) then decided to split the 16.4 and add 32.8 at each end to allow for LEDs throughout the nursery could be placed. I already had 32.8 installed which meant I had to install 16.4 half ends while on the stairs. I had ZERO success on my first try (nothing slipped, stuck or caught fire) and came back to it the next day with better lighting, needle nose pliers and tiny mustache scissors. 1. Difficult to get the end of the LED strip under the connectors. I slipped the tip of a tiny pair of scissors under each metal stud on the connector so the strip could slide underneath easily and securely. 2. The strip will slip and stay in place if you leave paper covering the adhesive on the end you insert into the connector. Otherwise the adhesive will only stick to the connector and will not slide in. Not much, maybe just 1/4 inch or so. I actually cut the paper while it was on the new strip so it was easy to peel off so I could tape it to the wall once it was put together. 3. It's also easier to use pliers for the subtle jiggles needed to get the strip far enough into the connector, ie you can't see the RGB letters when the connector is closed. I spent at least a foot reconfiguring the lighting because I couldn't get it to "work" on my first try. I hope this saves others time and frustration as all I could find were negative reviews with my own frustration or others making it sound like it was a parking pass which it wasn't. My kid loves it and now my other kid wants them.
