I've had mine for a few months now and the ring is loose. It doesn't stay in the position I set it to when it's in the open position. So the weight of the phone is enough to get it back to a horizontal position when I try to use it as a stand. It will hold if I balance it properly and there will be no movement. I'm trying to use it in my car to see the maps but it crashes. Though it's in a shallow cabinet that's textured for traction and free of all other obstacles. The same, if I put it on the table and hit the table, it falls down.
