After trying the old lid on this new jar, I clearly saw that the new lid did not come with the jar, the jar itself was not the right size. When attempting to place and seal the lid, the lid deforms and does not fit the container to form a complete seal, and is also too difficult to place on the container and difficult to remove as well. These two things render the container and lid useless for proper and convenient food storage. An old set of Glad bins I bought many years ago were absolutely wonderful but eventually had to be replaced through no fault of their own but due to general wear and tear over the years. I purchased these containers with complete confidence and was sadly surprised to find that they are no longer manufactured to the original quality control standards. Rad, you should be ashamed of putting your trusted name on such an inferior product. I cannot recommend this product.
