But "can" is microwave-coated cardboard. Yes! I know they're food safe, but if you eat off of them and scratch that "brown" surface, no thanks. Enter these steel jewels. If you take the cake out of the freezer and carefully remove the cardboard form, the frozen cake will fit perfectly in these forms! While there are no chemicals to scrape, I do condition my cookware so I don't scratch the surface. But then I need a crust size sheet, filling recipe, etc. It's easier to pop it frozen. And the crust edges, I found aluminum crust rings like full size pies. Thanks for a great product.
