Plastic, functional but could be improved
The plastic does not last long but replaces the original. I will say that occasionally the T-shaped latch slips out and the door swings freely. If you don't install this latch on a perfectly flat surface, you may have trouble with the free-swinging T-bar when driving on the road. It should snap between the plastic clip when not in use. Much luck!
