I bought this charger from Revain about 5 months ago after hearing good reviews about the new 'smart' chargers. After years of service with old Schumacher metal chargers and reading great Revain reviews I bought this model. I've only used it 1 or 2 times to charge a dead quad battery and it seemed to work fine. Fast forward 4 months later and it looks like a shot! I needed this to charge the batteries on jet skis and trolling motors and get this thing going fast. All it does is read the charge level - and turns on and off every few seconds without charging the battery. I've tried everything - numerous battery types, different outlets, etc. - and the same missing results. Schumacher customer service responded within 2 days after I gave them a detailed description of the problem (hoping for a quick fix) and asked me to request an RMA, photograph the product and provide them with proof of purchase. I've only been in this process for a few days and haven't been informed by them of the next steps - I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, I'll have to go out and buy another charger when I take the boats to the lake this Memorial Day weekend! These chargers are very light and much smaller than metal chargers - probably due to build quality? I hope I just got a blemish - never had problems like this with old metal chargers.
