This was easy for my 9 year old to learn. She loves it and loves the 12 different stitch types as well as the table. Works fast but very secure. It's light, so she takes it from her room, to the kitchen, to the living room, and even to her grandmother's. In the beginning there was a little problem with the bobbin and threading it was a bit difficult but once you get the hang of it it will be easy.
