It took a little time to figure out the folding but it works! The magnetic closure keeps the iPad mini screen secure. I had no issues with the Apple Pencil Holder, just give the pen a light press and it magnetically attaches to the iPad. There is a hole on the back to slide the stylus back in when you want to use it.
