This is my first real receiver so I can't say if it's better than (insert whatever you see). I can tell you that I was happy with my initial setup and usage experience with my 5.1 speakers that I purchased. Monoprice Premium 5.1 Home Theater System with Subwoofer (110565) (I'll be upgrading to 7.2 on my birthday) Installation was surprisingly easy. You plug everything in, plug it in, turn it on and he walks you through the rest. Calibrating the speakers with the included mic made my poor kittens flinch, but other than that everything went smoothly. It tells you to use a mic stand, but it includes a cardboard mic stand that you collect, which is great for that purpose. (nice from you). The microphone cable is also long enough to work in all but the largest of rooms. This feature was essential for me as I have no idea where to start when it comes to sound balancing in a surround sound system. a day and a half for no apparent reason. Who knows how much it costs by the time you read this. It worked with everything I had connected to it. (Dish Network Hopper, Playstation 3, Roku 3) and all settings were automatic. From turning it on to calibrating the speakers and watching my first movie, it only took about 20 minutes. The Bluetooth connection works great with my LG G3. I haven't tried other Bluetooth-enabled devices. It's very strange to look at the screen of your small phone and hear a booming omnidirectional sound. The connection to my home WLAN was also problem-free. For me it should just be a box that I give a signal to and that gives me high quality sound and video. It was done with no problems and was very forgiving of my lack of experience in the matter. Thank you sound box. As a reward, I get some good pin headers, because the exposed speaker wire makes me nervous. Sewell SilverbackSL Gold Pin Banana Plugs for Spring Entry 12 pcs in box (SW-30006-12) I don't see anyone dissatisfied with this receiver unless you want the outputs it doesn't have (and the ones that the ones he has are probably more than enough if you don't have an exotic setup) or if you want Dolby Atmos. But if you're going to spend money on a 9.1.4 speaker setup, don't even read this review and buy this receiver. And even more sound power for you.
