Not sure how long they will last but hopefully some time. The fine end is much thinner than the Tombow Brush Markers I recently purchased. I love these thinner tips for drawing, brushing, and writing, but some ink colors don't have much intensity and some pigments are blotchy. I think shaking them helps a little. A ballpoint pen has cracked and withered in the packaging. I tore off the end, put a few drops of water in the ink bottle, and then resealed it with tape. It works and saved me the hassle of sending it back. This is also a good trick if the cap stays on and the tip dries out. The big disadvantage of this set is that the colors are not named or numbered. When working on a project, you may want to separate all the colors you used so you don't have to guess which ones you used. However, it's a very decent value for what I paid (less than $13 for 36 colors).
