So far so good, it does what I need. We're sick of someone having to stay on their bike until they're buckled up. Seems like a minor thing but it was annoying and took longer to do it that way. I don't have them on my trailer. I put them both on a piece of thick plywood 5 feet wide and 3 feet deep that I can slide in and out of the trailer. I would never rely on her alone and I don't think that was her intention. Maybe it's because I didn't attach them directly to the trailer? But they don't seem so sure even if I had. I watched a video of a guy installing them in his enclosed trailer and he says he doesn't use straps. I can't vouch for that. We use them to quickly place the bikes on the trailer and get them ready for the buckles, after which everyone can put on their own seat belts. They work absolutely perfectly for this and I don't have to tighten the straps as much as I used to because they serve as the main device to hold the bike in place. I'm not giving 5 stars because I think the device could use some improvements. Round bars would be much better for the two parts that touch the tire and some sort of latch to make sure the lever doesn't let go. Now I'm not saying the lever release is a problem, it didn't happen. I'm just talking It would be nice to have this feature and know that it just can't be released.
